FAQ
What people ask us
Are my documents sent to a server?
No. All processing happens on your computer and the app has no internet access. Not even we see your documents.
Does this make documents anonymous under the GDPR?
No, and we don't claim it does. It's pseudonymisation: data is swapped for codes and you keep the key. That's what lets you restore it, and it greatly reduces risk, but the law still treats it as personal data.
Which AI does it work with?
Any: ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini. Velado prepares the documents; the AI is your choice.
What if detection misses a name?
Before exporting you see everything that was covered and what stayed visible, and you can add terms by hand. No detection is 100% complete, so review is part of the process.
I lost the vault password. Now what?
The data can't be restored. That's deliberate: without the password, nobody, including us, can open the vault.
